An Additive Manufacturing company is looking for a Senior Principal Engineer to join the team and aid the company in coordinating its strategy as well as developing technology to meet market needs. As a Senior Principal Engineer, you will be managing client relationships, developing innovative solutions as well as creating and developing industry relationships.
Job Description
- The ability to co-ordinate with Business Development Directors to evaluate and predict technology needs of the market
- Improve technology roadmaps that address market needs and organise execution of strategy by applying both internal and external resources
- Advance R&D projects to help drive industry-altering technology innovation solutions and objectives
- Manage technical dialogue with customers, particularly key or high-value accounts
- The ability to identify and mature project opportunities
- Enthusiastically participate in the company’s Additive Manufacturing Consortium
- The ability to write proposals that meet clients’ technical needs and deliver a strong value proposition
- The ability to represent the company in through conference’s, publications, technical committees and marketing content development.
- Assist as a business development liaison for key accounts specific to your technical area of expertise
- The ability to develop a strong pipeline of project work to ensure technology sustainability
- The ability to assist other engineering managers in selecting, evolving, and directing engineering talent
- The ability to Mentor and develop both the technical and communication skills of less experienced staff
- The ability to assist the company in developing equipment manufacturing partnerships
- The ability to prepare and present client reports and take responsibility for results and deliverables
- The ability to stay current with industry trends and technical advancements
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of B.S. in Material Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or related field
- Minimum fifteen (15) years of industrial or R&D experience
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the Additive Manufacturing field
- Ability to execute scientific research and performing experimental analysis
- A sound level of metallurgical knowledge of carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and nickel-based alloys
- The ability to travel (25%) to customer's and conferences
