Technical Marketing Manager – Functional Applications

Location: Pennsylvania
Salary: $130k

Overview

We are seeking a Technical Marketing Manager to drive sustainable and profitable growth in the Functional Applications market segment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science, with a focus on metallurgy, and a minimum of three years of technical, marketing, or sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and understand market/customer requirements for pigments/products and services in the Functional Applications market segment
• Provide marketing and technical service support to customers and sales teams
• Lead commercial activities, including lead generation, sample fulfillment, and pricing discussions
• Actively engage in portfolio management, product development, and market expansion strategies
• Coordinate product training for customers and sales teams

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc degree in materials science with a focus on metallurgy
• Minimum of 3 years of technical, marketing, or sales experience
• Experience in Additive Manufacturing is necessary; experience in Specialty Chemicals Industry is desirable
• Proven leadership/management attributes and ability to manage multiple activities/projects
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel, SAP, Salesforce, and Business Objects
• Willingness to travel (40% of time)

Day-to-day

• Understanding market/customer requirements and ensuring product portfolio meets those requirements
• Providing technical service support to customers and sales teams
• Initiating and coordinating product development activities
• Supporting initiatives surrounding competitive landscape and market share analysis
• Coordinating sample stock inventory for new and existing products
