Title: Field Service Engineer

Location: Michigan, USA

Salary: $80k - $100k

This company is currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join their Michigan-based team. This role focuses on providing professional service and technical support for machine tool installations, troubleshooting, and addressing product performance issues. The Field Service Technician will work on maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing equipment to ensure quality and reliability, with a focus on meeting fine tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair CNC equipment while ensuring fine tolerances are met.

• Prepare detailed service reports outlining work performed.

• Rebuild and recondition CNC machines.

• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships, showcasing the company’s strengths in service and support.

• Provide input and suggestions to improve products and meet customer needs.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Proven mechanical engineering skills and capabilities.

• Strong electrical skills and expertise.

• Experience with CNC programming (preferred but not essential).

• Familiarity with automation systems, including Fanuc and Nachi robotic systems (preferred but not essential).

• Experience operating CNC machine tools in a production environment, ideally within tool and cutter grinding machines.

• Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to investigate technical issues.

• Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays.
