Preco is hiring a Quality Engineer II at their Somerset, WI location.
The Quality Engineer II plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability
of Preco’s products by designing, developing, and executing test plans and strategies. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality products that meet customer
expectations. Main responsibilities are to perform inspections and sets quality assurance testing models for analysis of raw materials, materials in process, and
finished products. Assists in developing quality control policies and evaluates production limitations. Assists the Director of CMS Engineering and Quality to drive and foster a continuous improvement environment throughout the
organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on
requirements and specifications. • Perform various testing types, including functional, regression, integration,
performance, usability, and security testing. • Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug tracking system
(e.g., Jira, Bugzilla). • Collaborate with developers to reproduce and troubleshoot issues. • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on design and
implementation. • Contribute to the development and maintenance of test automation
frameworks and scripts. • Contribute to process improvements and quality initiatives. • Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and participate in sprint planning,
daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the
software development lifecycle. • Proactively identify and mitigate potential quality risks. • Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of
discrepant material. • Identify CAPA opportunities and Lead CAPA teams. • Coordination of inspection and testing methods and sampling plans. • Evaluate product and/or process changes for impact on quality. • May be designated as SQF Practitioner Backup. • Specifies and maintains necessary inspection and testing equipment to
ensure conformance to customer specifications. • Performs internal auditing functions. • Develop new ways to better satisfy customer needs (new/different
equipment, alternative work methods, improved quality/service, etc.) use
of Lean Six Sigma. • Leader of product and/or process qualification efforts, including customer
requirements such as PPAP, First Article, FMEA, Control Plan, Gage
Capability Studies, etc. • Provides periodic quality summary reports using statistical analysis CpK,
SPC. • Assists in designing, organizing, and facilitating employee training
programs. • Oversees technical writing projects concerning quality and production
procedures. • Visit suppliers and initiate supplier quality evaluations/supplier corrective
actions. •
Job Qualifications:
• 4-year engineering/technical degree with equivalent experience. • 8 or more years of quality related experience. • Demonstrated leadership and experience integrating statistics, quality
inspection methods, inspection equipment, and establishing AQL • Experience working under ISO 9001, 13485 and/or SQF Edition 9
certifications. • Strong organizational, interpersonal, leadership, written communication,
and computer skills.
