Requirements
- BS or MS degree or equivalent experience in Materials Science/Engineering, Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience with thermomechanical processing.
- Must meet ITAR hiring requirements due to Department of Defense contract work.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
- Strong project management skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, favoring a hands-on approach.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices is preferred.
- A strong and persistent drive to achieve positive results.

Responsibilities
- Devise testing methods to assess the effects of various conditions on materials.
- Ensure process specifications, work instructions, equipment controls, and monitoring are in place and effectively communicated.
- Track, monitor, and audit product and process outcomes to meet desired material properties, quality standards, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with development engineers to create operational processes and specifications for new products, materials, and alloys.
- Support production planning and management to optimize scheduling and equipment usage.
- Drive strategic planning and capital requirements to develop process capability and capacity aligned with business growth objectives.
- Identify and implement process or product improvements to enhance quality or reduce costs, utilizing expertise in manufacturing processes, tooling, production equipment, quality control, and material properties.
- Investigate root causes of failures using analytical methods and recommend design, tolerance, or process changes.
- Develop detailed work instructions and manufacturing process documentation to ensure safe and effective operations.
