Job Description:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for repairing and installing high-speed 5-Axis CNC machining centers at customer facilities.
Job Purpose:
To ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining advanced CNC machine tools on-site.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must possess a strong mechanical background with the ability to resolve complex mechanical issues.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of electronics and electrical systems.
- Ability to perform precise mechanical adjustments using precision measuring tools and equipment is essential.
- Experience with CNC machine tools is required.
- Knowledge of CNC and PLC controls is necessary. Familiarity with Siemens CNC controls is preferred. Experience with laser calibration equipment is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and installation of advanced machine tools, including mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
- Position is based in Seattle with travel required, approximately 50% outside the local area. May require extended periods away from home, potentially several weeks at a time.
- Must be a self-starter, capable of working independently without supervision.
- Required to document service and installation activities by completing forms, reports, and records.
