Job Title: Senior Additive Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Florida
Salary: $125k - $140k

A senior engineering role focused on additive manufacturing (3D printing) is currently available at a facility in Florida. This position centers on providing engineering support to the production process within the additive manufacturing sector. Responsibilities include working with core additive processes, CAD modeling based on customer designs, material preparation for printing, and customer interactions, among other duties.

Success in this role requires quickly adapting to the organization's culture and processes, proficiency with relevant software, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design additive manufacturing builds for both production and research purposes.
  • Serve as a technical contact for processes including electron beam melting (EBM) and direct metal laser melting (DMLS).
  • Maintain and standardize operating instructions, machine parameters, and related equipment processes.
  • Provide technical support for resolving process-related issues and addressing customer complaints.
  • Analyze process variables and key performance indicators to ensure consistent and high-quality results.
  • Develop and implement monitoring tools to enhance quality during the additive manufacturing process.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve workplace safety, equipment efficiency, and product quality.
  • Manage and execute continuous improvement programs for products and processes.
  • Support product engineering and R&D efforts to standardize and evaluate new products and technologies.
  • Build technical expertise in additive manufacturing of Ni/Ti/Al-based alloys through experimentation, research, best practice sharing, and attendance at technical conferences.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience with CAD modeling software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Professional or academic experience in metal additive manufacturing.
  • 4–5 years of experience specifically in metal additive manufacturing, with 7–10 years of general engineering experience in aerospace or a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
