Job Title: Applications Engineer

Location: KY, USA (with up to 50% travel)

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per year

Position Overview:

The company is seeking a skilled and motivated Applications Engineer to join its team based in Hebron, KY. This role is a key customer-facing position, providing technical expertise in CNC machining applications, process development, and implementation support. The position requires up to 50% travel across North America to support installations, training, and technical demonstrations.

 

This is an on-site role and can not be remote.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop, test, and implement machining processes tailored to customer applications.
  • Provide pre- and post-sales technical support, including process development, cycle time studies, and machine tool demonstrations.
  • Support machine setup, installation, and optimization at customer sites.
  • Work closely with the sales team to deliver customized technical solutions.
  • Conduct on-site training and technical guidance for customers and service staff.
  • Create technical documentation such as tooling lists, setup sheets, and process plans.
  • Represent the company at industry events, open houses, and trade shows.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in CNC machining, applications engineering, or a related role.
  • Proficiency with CNC controls
  • Experience with high-precision, multi-axis machining (5-axis preferred).
  • Siemens NX experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical drawing interpretation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% domestically.
