Job Title: Print Technician Supervisor
Location: South Carolina
Salary: $85k - $130k
Overview
A world-renowned 3D printing company is seeking a Print Technician Supervisor to oversee the operation of their Innovation Center resources, including staff of technical and QA resources.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policies, plans, and procedures for staffing, capacity planning, resource scheduling, inventory planning, purchasing, manufacturing operations, cost standards, facility safety, equipment maintenance, and product quality.
- Monitor workload and backlog, ensuring proper application of benchmarking resources to support delivery priorities.
- Interface with sales managers, vertical market leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure the team meets expectations.
- Partner with other managers to share solutions and core processes.
- Coordinate and manage administration of resources by different stakeholders and for different purposes.
- Manage logistics, quality control, and production of customer benchmark parts and marketing material.
- Showcase 3DP solutions through demonstrations, case studies, workshops, and training sessions tailored to customer priorities.
- Work with project teams to address specific customer requirements and provide feedback to respective teams.
- Define requirements and hire talent to carry out the company mission, and manage staffing.
- Identify, select, and manage effective relationships with other firms for subcontracting certain post-processing activities.
Qualifications
- Practical experience in creating models and developing prototypes.
- Knowledge of manufacturing strategies, operations, metrics, quality systems, and processes.
- Proficiency in a 3D CAD software package is an advantage.
- Prior knowledge or experience with additive manufacturing is desired.
- Previous experience in managing manufacturing service bureaus or contract-manufacturing shops is a plus.
- Minimum 5-7 years of manufacturing experience required. Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience required.
Day-to-day
The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Customer Innovation Center, coordinating with various stakeholders, managing resources, and showcasing 3DP solutions to prospective customers.
