Key Responsibilities

Skills & Experience

• Experience working with PPM schedules and CMMS systems.

• Comfortable working as part of a small, multi-skilled maintenance team.

• Organised approach, ensuring work areas and engineering stock are maintained to 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or minimum NVQ Level 3 / ONC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

• 3+ years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Desirable (not essential)

• Experience in glass manufacturing or related heavy industry.

• Basic PLC fault-finding knowledge.

• Lean / CI tools (5S, Kaizen, TPM, RCA).

• IOSH / NEBOSH certification.

Position Overview

The Service Engineer is responsible for providing customers with maintenance and repair assistance for CNC machine tools, either on-site or remotely by telephone. This role involves frequent travel, customer interaction, and technical expertise in troubleshooting and installation.

The successful candidate will establish and oversee our quality systems, manage inspections, develop and maintain the quality lab, and guide the organization toward achieving and sustaining ISO 9001, AS9100, and other relevant certifications.

Quality Management System (QMS) Development & Oversight
