Full Job Description
Position Summary:
Sells company’s services in a defined area or market to develop new business. Contacts prospects and established assigned business accounts by telephone, email or face-to-face meetings. Interacts with customers to develop and encourage new business and generate revenues. Develops and familiarizes customers with new product lines. Communicates competitive and market intelligence to the Sales Director, Laboratory Operations Directors and/or Senior Management as necessary.
Essential Functions\*:

Prospecting
- Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers.
- Locates possible buyers for our services.
- Follows up on contacts made during trade shows.
- Engages in sales visits.
- Makes individual and group presentations to various prospects including those online, and in person.
- Makes proactive calls to gather account information including competitive information, key decision makers, current projects, etc.
- Maintaining Customer Contact
- Post-sale follow-up to ensure customer expectations are being met.
- Follows-up on previous quotes, inactive accounts, or those with significant changes in sales volume, and referrals.
- Advises management of client needs.
- Gathers market intelligence.
- Participates in trade shows as requested

Administration
- Documents and manages a sales pipeline through CRM (HubSpot).
- Submits expenses in accordance with company policy.
- Updates and maintains customer information in CRM & ERP systems as necessary.
- Prepares quotations, sends out letters and information

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience):*
- Bachelor’s degree in business, science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional telephone skills.
- Working knowledge or ability to learn software programs such as MS Excel, CRM, NetSuite and MS Word.
- Proven track record in meeting and/or exceeding goals.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license required.

Work Conditions/Physical Demands:*
Home Office environment: includes sitting, standing and walking; infrequent lifting of up to 20 lbs., pulling, pushing, carrying, reaching, bending, twisting, climbing, squatting, and crouching. Infrequent visits to main office which is attached to a lab that contains toxic materials with possible exposure to odors, acids, fumes and other reactive materials.
