Service Engineers are expected to provide customers with maintenance and repair assistance of DMG MORI CNC machine

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors or Associates Degree in technical related field of study preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machine tools.

• Experience working with DMG or MORI SEIKI machines, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and/or Siemens and controls are a PLUS.

• Good verbal and written communication skills with exceptional customer service orientation.

• Must be able to interact and effectively communicate in person and over the phone with people at all levels of an organization.

• Proven ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and sequence (PLC) ladder diagrams.

• Basic computer literacy and working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment; manage competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

Work Environment:

Exposure to manufacturing/machining environments which may present possible hazards such as noise, electricity,

chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery. General office environment experienced at

DMG MORI office.

company training and other external resources such as reading material.

▪ Responsible for the cleanliness, care, and upkeep of all company property.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

▪ Associates Degree or certification in the troubleshooting, repair, and installation of CNC

Machine Tool Products.

▪ Minimum 2 years experience in the troubleshooting, installation, and repair of Machine

Tools Products.

▪ A valid Drivers License, a good driving record, and the ability to “legally” operate a company

“Service” vehicle or personal vehicle for company business. (You may be required to drive

your personal vehicle for business until a company vehicle is assigned).

▪ Good interpersonal communication skills. Ability to maintain professional conduct when

dealing with customers, peers, builder representatives and suppliers.

▪ Demonstrated self-starter and effective planning and organization skills.

▪ Ability to participate as a member of a team, crossing department and divisional lines.

▪ Ability to use PC and job-related software/programs for programming,

documentation/record keeping.

▪ Physical demands: continuous bending, stooping, standing, climbing, step stool climbing,

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control, or Automation and Instrumentation.
15+ years of progressively responsible experience in designing, installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting industrial controls, electromechanical systems, and facility equipment.
Extensive knowledge and experience with relevant regulations and codes (e.g., UL, CE, CSA, CEC, NFPA, OHSA).
Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) such as Allen-Bradley and Omron
- PLC programming software and networking systems (e.g., Ethernet I/P, DeviceNet, Profibus, ControlNet)
- Supervisory systems (SCADA) like Wonderware, Indusoft, Allen-Bradley
- Motion controllers/actuators
- Power distribution and electro-mechanical power control
- Metrology, including level sensing and vision systems
- Development of user interfaces (UI) through human-machine interface (HMI) and other industrial solutions (e.g., FactoryTalk)
- Design and application of fluid power systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, vacuum)
- Control of various industrial process components (e.g., valves, sensors, flow controllers, blowers, pumps)

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional designation or eligibility to obtain one.
Experience or knowledge in powder processing, petrochemical, and materials science.
Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, problem-solving startup environment.
