Job Description

A company that exclusively manufactures highly flexible multifunctional CNC milling/turning/boring machines is hiring a CAM & CNC Programmer/Machine Setup Professional.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualification and runoff of new machines
  • Development and tryout of new cutting sequences, production support, and customer training at customer sites throughout the U.S.A. 
  • Programming and troubleshooting complex millturn parts using state-of-the-art CNC technology
  • Discussing machining process-related topics with customers and the applications department
  • Conducting cycle time calculations and process sequence charts

Required Skills:

  • CAD/CAM experience related to programming multi-axes multi-function machine tools
  • A solid understanding of Macro and manual programming, knowledge of the function and intricacies of CNC machines, workholding principles, and tool setup.
  • Existing knowledge and ability to set up and operate multi-axes multi-function millturn-type machine tools
  • Experience with the SINUMERIK 840D control system is also essential.
  • Ability to read and evaluate complex 2-D part drawings and 3-D models

Qualifications:

  • A three-year technical degree or five years of work experience in process development and programming of multi-axes multi-function CNC metal cutting machines.
  • Language skills required include proficiency in English, both verbal and written. Knowledge of German or Spanish as a second language is a plus but not mandatory.
