Title: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, TECHNIUM
Reports to: General Manager, Technium
Location: TECHNIUM USA, Inc., Hoffman Estates, IL or other DMG MORI location
Hours: Core Business Hours
Classification: Exempt
Travel: up to 40%
Annual Base Salary Range: $130-140k
Employment is conditioned on DMG MORI's ability to obtain and maintain any necessary export licensing.
Technium USA plays a role of software specialist in a machine tool manufacture. The Business Development Manager is
responsible for create total business strategy to increase sales. It includes software marketing activity, sales activity based
on customer requirement and make a development path for customer portal myDMGMORI.
Essential Job Functions:
• Business strategy creation and realize with horsepower
• Marketing activity (understand the current position where we are an dig out actual trend, create material)
• Break into and drive large, complex deals through lead to close. Experience navigating large company
procurement processes.
• Drive account strategies and coordinate selling efforts with channel partners to execute a sales process and win
deals.
• Drive referenceable customer satisfaction in your accounts
• Expertly demonstrate skill of software to end user.
• Have passion for technology and speak fluently about current trends related to SaaS, PaaS, IoT, and cloud
solutions.
• Develop champions, stakeholder mind-share, and close at the VP/C-level.
• Leverage and collaborate with internal/external resources as a team player; Customer Team, Sales Engineering,
Marketing, Channel Partners, Operations, Finance and Customer References etc.
Minimum Requirements:
• Experience in manufacturing field
• Experience in IoT field
• Experience in Strategy making and leading a project
• Experience selling SaaS and/or PaaS solutions and/or selling manufacturing solutions
• Experience in machine tool industry and/or its related software technologies is a plus
• Excellent written and oral communications skills in English
• Japanese or German knowledge is a plus
• Ability to operate and move deals through complex organizations.
• Possess a strong background of achieving over 100%+ of your quota
• Ability to penetrate new accounts and strategically value sell six figure transactions.
• Organize / Report on all sales productivity on a consistent basis

Work Environment: General office environment will be experienced. There will be periodic exposure to manufacturing
environments which may present possible hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other
automated and manual machinery.
Physical Demands: Frequent: Travel, operating a vehicle, standing, sitting at desk, utilizing computers and phones.
