• Develop and execute a targeted revenue growth strategy that prioritizes high-value accounts in the contract manufacturing and capital equipment sectors.

• Lead the creation of account segmentation strategies to identify and engage high- potential clients, while ensuring resources are focused on the most profitable opportunities.

• Set aggressive but achievable sales targets for the team, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and the growth of key accounts.

• Work closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to align revenue goals with company objectives, ensuring that account-based strategies and performance metrics are fully integrated into the business plan.

• Lead the identification, qualification, and prioritization of key accounts within target industries, with a particular focus on large-scale manufacturers, OEMs, and companies in need of capital equipment solutions. Key markets are Packaging, Converting/web handling, and industrial metals (welding, cladding, heat treating using laser technology)

• Establish a clear process for lead generation and prospecting, leveraging internal data, industry insights, and competitive analysis to drive the acquisition of high- value customers.

• Create and implement tailored account plans for major clients, ensuring a strategic approach to relationship-building, long-term value, and high-level customer engagement.

• Work with executive leadership to ensure proper support structures are in place to win in these key markets (project engineering, application engineering, etc)

• Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, challenges, and long-term goals, positioning Preco as a trusted partner and solution provider for key accounts.

Sales & Business Development:

• Oversee the development of sales strategies specifically tailored to winning high- value contracts in both contract manufacturing and capital equipment sectors.

• Drive the sales team to pursue key accounts through a mix of direct sales, channel partnerships, and business development efforts.

• Lead the negotiations and closing of large, complex deals with key customers, ensuring alignment on project scope, timelines, and financial terms.

• Provide strategic leadership on large contract opportunities, positioning the company for long-term partnerships with high-value accounts.

Marketing & Account-Based Campaigns:

• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute account-based marketing (ABM) strategies aimed at targeting high-value accounts with personalized messaging, content, and campaigns.

• Ensure alignment between sales and marketing to create consistent, high-impact messaging that resonates with decision-makers at key accounts.

• Lead efforts to enhance brand awareness and credibility in target verticals through thought leadership, events, and customer success stories.

Customer Success & Retention:

• Champion a customer-centric approach to account management, ensuring high- touch engagement and exceptional service delivery for key accounts.

• Work with the customer success team to implement proactive strategies for increasing customer satisfaction, retention, and expansion within key accounts.

• Lead the development of customer success initiatives aimed at deepening relationships and driving cross-sell and upsell opportunities within strategic accounts.

• Ensure consistent follow-up and project management to meet or exceed customer expectations, driving long-term value for both the customer and the company.

• Key metrics will be customer retention (ex: >95% for contract manufacturing) and growth year over year.

Revenue Performance & Reporting:

• Monitor and manage overall revenue performance across key accounts, ensuring that sales forecasts are accurate and that revenue targets are met or exceeded.

• Regularly report on key account performance to the CEO and executive leadership, providing insights into account health, revenue forecasts, and strategic adjustments.

• Utilize CRM (salesforce.com) and other sales tools to track key account activities, analyze pipeline data, and ensure the sales team is effectively pursuing high-value opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with product development, engineering, and operations teams to ensure that solutions are customized to meet the unique needs of key accounts.

• Align sales strategies with production and operational capabilities, ensuring that customer expectations are met and that accounts are serviced efficiently.

• Work closely with the finance team to ensure that key accounts are provided with accurate and timely proposals, quotes, and contract terms.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred with relevant business leadership positions. Business degree ok with relevant technical product/services sales in background, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).

• 10+ years of leadership experience in sales, business development, or revenue operations, with at least 5 years in a senior role focused on key account management or enterprise sales.

• Proven track record of success in managing high-value, complex sales cycles and securing major contracts in manufacturing or capital equipment.

• Expertise in identifying, targeting, and winning key accounts, with demonstrated experience in scaling revenue through strategic account management.
