Job Advertisement: Training Specialist - Calibration
Location: Illinois (with travel to other office locations or field visits)
Position Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,000 to $90,000 per year

Summary:

A leading provider of calibration services, is seeking a skilled Training Specialist to join the company's dynamic team. Based in Illinois this role is pivotal in enhancing and expanding our training program for Calibration Technicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical training, adult education, and curriculum development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze technician training needs and develop curriculum and content to bridge knowledge gaps.
  • Deliver engaging and educational content through in-person sessions and webinars.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure training content aligns with company goals.
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and track technician progress.

Core Competencies:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in corporate or educational training.
  • Strong communication skills and experience presenting to groups.
  • Proficiency in learning management software and Microsoft applications.
  • Familiarity with content authoring tools and video production.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Experience and Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED with 10+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience.
  • 10-15+ years' experience in leadership and field service.
  • Preferred experience with people leadership and technical training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce; knowledge of IndySoft calibration software.
  • Calibration experience strongly desired; expertise in ISO 17025 or ASQ Calibration Technician Certification program a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed (estimated 10-20%).
