Job Description

Field Service Technicians play a critical role as representatives of the company, responsible for servicing, repairing, installing, and upgrading CNC Saw Sharpening equipment, PCD & Solid carbide tooling at customer sites. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and general requirements:

• A technical trade background or Mechatronics education, with previous experience working on CNC machinery.
• Knowledge of machine precision alignment, as well as electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems.
• Proficiency in reading machine drawings and circuit diagrams.
• Computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to complete reports and spreadsheets.
• Understanding of PLC controls and operation of various electrical and electronic devices.
• Excellent professional communication skills, both written (email) and verbal.
• Ability to travel internationally with a valid passport.
• Capability to work effectively in demanding environments.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
• Willingness to learn and train others professionally.
• Strong teamwork and decision-making abilities.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Making travel arrangements and being prepared to travel internationally when required.
• Providing timely and professional responses to customer inquiries and issues.
• Troubleshooting Vollmer equipment.
• Conducting routine maintenance, repairs, and offering technical advice.
• Installing equipment and ensuring proper startup procedures are followed.
• Completing reports, expenses, and timesheets promptly.
• Being available for extended work hours based on customer needs.
• Conducting professional training sessions for customers.
• Collaborating effectively with customers, engineers, and supervisors.

Experience: Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems.
